Frequently asked questions – Adiabatic Air Cooler
Find all the most asked questions by our customers, as well as our answers to guide you in the use of adiabatic air coolers.
How does an adiabatic air cooler work?
Our adiabatic air coolers use evapotranspiration technology. The air drawn in by the device passes through a pad moistened with water from the tank. Due to evaporation, the air is cooled.
Are adiabatic air coolers noisy? Can it be reduced?
The sound level of the air coolers is low. Our air fresheners are equipped with a speed control that allows you to reduce the air flow and thus the sound.
Can I adjust the airflow to my needs?
Our adiabatic air fresheners are equipped with several speeds allowing you to adjust the air flow according to your needs. If this is disturbing, you can move the unit away or adjust the direction of the flow with the adjustment vanes. You can also raise the air freshener so that the airflow is not directed at people.
Does the risk of legionellosis increase when using adiabatic air coolers?
The legionella bacteria thrive in hot water systems. Our adiabatic air fresheners are equipped with a UV lamp that treats 100% of the water running off the honeycomb panels. The risk of bacterial growth and contamination is therefore extremely low.
Does the risk of infection increase when using adiabatic air fresheners?
Our adiabatic air coolers are safe for employees. The UV lamp and filters eliminate the particles that help viruses and bacteria to move. On the contrary, the use of our adiabatic air fresheners offers clean, fresh and filtered air.
How to clean an adiabatic air cooler?
To clean your adiabatic air freshener, we recommend emptying the water tank once a month when it is used frequently. We also recommend cleaning the surfaces of the device with clear water. If the working atmosphere is dusty, the frequency of cleaning and emptying must be increased.
How to store the adiabatic air cooler at the end of the season?
At the end of the summer period, it is advisable to carry out several cleanings before putting it away.
We recommend that you first drain the unit and rinse it with clean water. Then, you run the device with clear water and possibly add white vinegar. At the end, you empty the tank again completely. To dry the panels and the unit, you run the unit without water circulation for 6 hours.
